Canadian Geese visit the boat launch ramp!

Another beautiful morning at Smith lake, in Cullman Alabama!

I so love looking out on the water in the mornings. It is so calm and peaceful, the water oftentimes smooth as glass, other times ripples with a million glints of sunshine bouncing around on the surface.

This morning I was greeted with wildlife,  a common experience out here.

A group of Canadian Geese were at the marina this morning! I watched as they swam up to the boat launch ramp then stood in the shallow water, making use of the concrete ramp to rest with their group.

After a good rest, and sufficient preening they regrouped and Swam off the boat ramp in the direction of the hidden creek.  

These beautiful birds were Enjoying the calm of the morning, and are retreating to the safety of the creek, teeming with good fishing in the shallows at the end of the slew.

Next time you launch your boat at the marina, look for the Canadian Geese, and other wildlife in and around the campground area.  May you find your peace and tranquility beside the still morning waters!

Watching the geese swimming away in a line, I wanted others to see and experience the beauty that is Alabama!
